When we launched ContractorPass earlier this year, we focused on one problem: helping Dubai contractors track their Law No. 7 of 2025 compliance obligations without drowning in Excel sheets. Over the past four months, we have added much more. Here is what is new.
Three AI Tools Built Specifically for Dubai Contractors
Dubai contractors spend hours every week on repetitive document work. Retyping consultant BOQs. Drafting tender covering letters. Reading subcontracts for risky clauses. We have built three AI tools that handle each of these.
AI BOQ Analyzer
Drop any Dubai consultant Bill of Quantities (BOQ) PDF or Excel. The tool reads it with Anthropic Claude, identifies every line item, and returns a clean structured Excel with description, unit, quantity, rate, total, and the page citation for each row.
Works on BOQs from Emaar, Nakheel, DEWA, RTA, Dubai Municipality, DDA, and every private consultant we have tested. What used to take an estimator two to four hours of retyping now finishes in seconds.
The tool is free to try at contractorpass.ae/tools/boq-analyzer. No signup needed — one extraction per device every 90 days. Maximum 15 MB file size, up to 80 pages for PDFs, text-based PDFs only. Scanned PDFs are rejected on the free tier (paid plans run OCR). The free Excel output is watermarked. Paid plans give you unwatermarked extractions and higher monthly volumes: 5 on Starter, 30 on Professional, 100 on Enterprise, unlimited on Corporate.
Who uses it:
- Estimators pricing incoming tenders
- Quantity surveyors cross-checking BOQ totals
- Tender teams triaging multiple bids in a week
- Subcontractors pricing a section of a main contractor BOQ
- Contractors reviewing consultant BOQs before submission
AI Tender Cover Letter Drafter
Enter your project name, client, scope keywords, and your own unique selling points. The tool drafts a professional covering letter and method-statement outline in Dubai-standard tone. You edit and download.
Small Dubai contractors tell us they rewrite the same covering letter 50 times a year with minor variations. Larger ones have a template that is three years stale and nobody wants to touch. This tool saves roughly 30 minutes per tender submission.
Monthly limits: 5 on Starter, 30 on Professional, 100 on Enterprise, unlimited on Corporate.
AI Contract Risk Scanner
Upload a draft subcontract or client contract as a PDF. The scanner flags aggressive clauses: unlimited liability, ambiguous variation-order terms, harsh retention terms, one-sided termination rights, painful payment terms, and more.
Most SMB contractors sign whatever the client puts in front of them because they cannot afford lawyer review on every contract. They discover the trap six months later when a variation is refused or retention is held hostage. The scanner catches those traps before you sign.
It is a first-pass review, not legal advice. You should still consult a qualified UAE construction lawyer before signing. But knowing which clauses deserve lawyer time is half the battle.
Monthly limits: 5 scans on Starter, 30 on Professional, 50 on Enterprise, unlimited on Corporate.
Expanded Compliance Tracking
Law No. 7 is only one piece of what Dubai contractors need to track. We have added two new registers for the obligations that cost contractors real money when forgotten.
Insurance Policies Register
Track every active insurance policy in one place:
- Contractor All Risk (CAR)
- Workmen's Compensation
- Third-Party Liability
- Professional Indemnity
- Other
For each policy, store the insurer, policy number, cover amount, start date, expiry date, and the policy document. The system reminds you 60, 30, 14, 7, and 1 days before expiry (via email or WhatsApp, depending on what your company has configured). You never discover a lapsed CAR policy during an incident again.
Bank Guarantees Register
Track every active guarantee:
- Performance
- Advance
- Retention
- Tender
- Other
Each guarantee is linked to a specific project, with issuing bank, guarantee number, amount, issue date, and expiry date. The same 60/30/14/7/1 reminder cadence applies so you can renew or request release before expiry. A forgotten performance bond that expires mid-project triggers a client claim nobody wants.
Both registers include document storage, audit trail, and the same WhatsApp or email reminder system that drives the rest of ContractorPass. Reminder cadences differ by document type — insurance, bank guarantees, Emirates ID and visa use the 60/30/14/7/1 schedule, while staff PCCs, trade licence and DM registration use a tighter 30/14/7/3/1 schedule.
A Better Signup Experience
The old signup flow asked for your card up front. Several Dubai contractors told us this felt like we did not trust them to try the product first. Fair point. We rebuilt it.
The new flow:
- Create your account with first name, last name, phone, email, and password. Company name is optional — we fill in a placeholder if you leave it blank, and you can edit it later.
- Verify your email with a 6-digit code we send to your inbox.
- Full platform access for 14 days with no credit card required.
- Add payment method anytime during trial, or on day 14 to continue.
- If you do not add a card by day 14, your account enters read-only mode. Your data stays safe, you can log in and view, just cannot edit until you reactivate.
No surprise charges. No pressure. If the product is useful, you add a card. If not, nothing happens.

Frequently Asked Questions
Which ContractorPass AI tools are included on which plan?
All three AI tools — BOQ Analyzer, Tender Cover Letter Drafter, and Contract Risk Scanner — are included on every paid plan. Only the monthly limits scale by tier. Starter gets 5 of each per month, Professional gets 30, Enterprise gets 50 Contract Scans and 100 of each of the other two, and Corporate gets unlimited usage of all three. See <a href="/pricing">contractorpass.ae/pricing</a> for the full breakdown.
Can I try the ContractorPass AI BOQ Analyzer without signing up?
Yes. Visit <a href="/tools/boq-analyzer">contractorpass.ae/tools/boq-analyzer</a> to try it free with no signup. You get one extraction per device every 90 days. Maximum file size 15 MB, up to 80 pages for PDFs, text-based PDFs only (scanned PDFs are rejected on the free tier — paid plans run OCR). The free Excel output includes a watermark; paid-plan outputs are unwatermarked.
How is my data handled when I use the ContractorPass AI tools?
The document you upload is sent to Anthropic (the Claude AI provider) only at the moment you run the tool. Anthropic processes the request and returns the extracted result. The upload is not used to train Anthropic's models, and it is not accessed outside the single request. Your resulting extraction (the BOQ Excel, the cover letter text, or the scan findings) is stored in your ContractorPass account's AI history for your reference. See the <a href="/data-residency">Data Residency</a> page for the full third-party service list.
Does the ContractorPass Contract Risk Scanner replace a lawyer?
No. It is a first-pass review designed to save lawyer time, not a substitute for legal advice. The scanner flags clauses that commonly cause problems in Dubai construction contracts — unlimited liability, aggressive retention terms, ambiguous variation orders, one-sided termination rights, painful payment terms. Each finding includes a verbatim quote, page citation, and suggested fix. You should still consult a qualified UAE construction lawyer before signing any contract. ContractorPass and Mighty Advancement accept no liability for decisions made based on AI outputs.
Does ContractorPass still require a credit card to start the 14-day trial?
No. The new signup flow requires only your first name, last name, phone, email, and password (company name is optional — we fill in a placeholder if you leave it blank). You verify your email with a 6-digit code we send to your inbox. You get full platform access for 14 days with no credit card required. On day 14, you add a payment method to continue, or your account enters read-only mode (your data stays safe, you can log in and view, you just can't edit until you reactivate).
